A cast lead artefact,probably a weight, of Medieval to Modern date, AD 1200 - 1900. It is in the form of a short squat bell, having a circular base and curved concave sides rising to a flat top. On the top is an integrally cast, rectangular suspension loop, pierced with a small, circular perforation. The weight has a patchy white patina. It is 19.1mm high, the diameter of the base is 28.1mm and it weighs 50.63g (1.78oz), so was probably intended as a two ounce weight. A ceramic vessel of probable Post Medieval date, about AD 1500 - 1800. Only half of the base of the vessel survives. The fabric is very hard and vitrified, probably a stoneware, with a fine texture and frequent small black inclusions in the buff coloured matrix. The diameter of the base would have been about 90mm. The walls are broken just after they start to flare outwards. The inside of the vessel contains some vitrified material, perhaps glaze or glass which is crazed and angular. A small lead musket ball dating from the post-medieval period, about AD 1600 - 1900. The casting sprue remains and also part of the casting seam. There is an eruption on one side of the ball, suggesting that a small bubble may have formed during casting. The ball has a light grey patina. It is 13mm in diameter (including casting sprue) and weighs 8.6g, suggesting that it was intended for use in a pistol. A copper alloy probably Post Medieval to Modern furniture fitting; part of a bowed drop handle from a drawer. Only one end survives. It has a short cylindrical pin which would have been held in a handle attachment lug, and then a wider swan-necked curved handle, broken at the base of the side of the handle. An incomplete copper alloy dress hook, Read class A, type 2, dating from the early post-medieval period. about AD 1550 - 1700. It has a flat, oval body with three pierced lugs for attachment, one on each side of the oval and one at the base. At one end of the oval is a transverse strip, and the remains of a broad, curved hook, part of which has broken away and is missing.
