An incomplete copper-alloy enamelled Seal Box Roman date (AD 100-300). The object is the lid from a seal box, the base is missing. The object is composed of a flat plate, teardrop (piriform, leaf shaped) in shape with a rounded end towards the hinge narrowing down to a point at the terminal. The hinge element is an integral oval lug which would have formed a loop. The loop has been broken resulting in the appearance of a bifurcated lug. The lug is placed transversely to the main plate, extending from the centre of the rounded end and level with the front but projecting at the back.…

A complete copper alloy Pin of Roman date (AD 43-410). The object is composed of a square head with an integral sub-circular shaft which is waisted below the head. The shaft expands below the waisted portion and tapers in towards the pointed tip. There is no indication of decoration. Length: 62.52mm, Width: 5.58mm, Thickness: 5.56mm, Thickness (head): 8.08mm, Weight: 8.2g. The metal has a mid-green pitted patina. Similar examples can be seen on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database: GLO-76DEA3, BUC-DF20E2 and WMID-1DF801 The object is possibly a Fowler Type E

A complete copper alloy Terret Ring of Roman date (AD 43-200). The object is a strap-mounted terret, Lewis' type 19 'dropped-bar' form. At the top of the object is a bend circular integral hoop, which is sub-ovate in section. The hoop would have acted as a rein guide. Extending from the base of hoop is an integrally cast sub-rectangular loop that is oval in section. It is positioned on the same plane as the hoop. A fragment of a copper-alloy Roman finger ring, dating to 300-400. Only the recessed setting for the bezel and fragments of the shoulders survive. The setting is circular in plan while the shoulders are formed by two waisted elements, which end with a transverse raised ridge. Tha back face is plain.
