An incomplete cast copper-alloy Mount or Escutcheon, probably from a vessel or similar item, of Medieval to Post-Medieval date (AD 1450-1750). The object is anthropomorphic in the form of a human face. The object is broadly oval in form, tapering to the chin, with sub-circular lobes, upper and lower flanking the central anthropomorphic element.
