A wrought iron arrowhead of medieval date, AD.1200-1550. The object is formed of a round socket that makes up the majority of the object's length. The tip of the arrowhead has a diamond shaped cross section. There is a slight waist where the tip meets the socket, however, the maximum width of the tip does not exceed that of the socket. Jessop 1996 type M3 Arrowheads of this type are typically 'military' in nature though they would serve equally in hunting. A complete copper alloy strap end dating from the medieval period dating to c.14th Century AD. The strap end is of split end type, with a copper alloy rivet holding the two plates in place. The strap end is rectangular in shape, and narrows slightly towards the terminal end. The terminal end is a solid rectangular knop with incised diagonal notches. There is a narrow neck connecting this to the main body of the strap end.
