An incomplete late early-medieval/Anglo-Scandinavian cast copper-alloy cheekpiece of Williams Type 1 (c. 11th century AD). The only element to have been lost is one of the outcurving zoomorphic side plates, broken where the neck of the creature joined the body of the cheekpiece. The other side plate is intact and is formed of a curved Ringerike style animal head and neck in profile. A copper-alloy post-medieval double-looped rectangular buckle frame dating to c. 1570-1700. The frame is plain with a notch for the pin at one end, though the pin itself is missing. It has slightly rounded corners. The object has a green patina. The buckle measures 28.50 mm in length, 24.26 mm in width and weighs 6.49 g. A similar example can be found illustrated in Whitehead (2003, 75) no. 459 and given the above date range, though without supporting evidence.

Roman, copper alloy brooch of 'Polden Hill' type, first century AD. Bow and head plain. The underside of the wings is recessed to accomodate a coiled spring which is secured by an axial pin the ends of the which are located in holes through circular plates at the ends of the wings. The fastening pin and and catch plate missing and the original surface of the brooch has been lost. Length 45.8mm, Width 24.1mm, Height 17.1mm, Mass 18.21g.

A slightly corroded fragment from a late early-medieval/Anglo-Scandinavian cast copper-alloy cheekpiece (c. 11th century AD). The fragment is formed of a curved Ringerike style animal head and neck in profile, broken through the neck. The cheekpiece is flat and the neck is long and the head is set at roughly right angles to it.
