Incomplete copepr alloy object, probably part of a Roman bracelet, possibly part of a Trumpet brooch. The remaining section is sub-oval in cross section with a shallowly convex back and convex front and slightly curved in profile. At one end is an old, irregular break. The opposite end of the plate (the hook end) is missing. The break here is worn, but it is straight and square. At the attachment end there are two equally-sized holes, arranged transversely and each sitting within a stamped circle. The two holes are close enough for the stamped ci…

A domed, gilded, cast copper alloy object, possibly a dagger or knife pommel of probable medieval or early post-medieval date, about AD1300 - 1700. The piece is circular in outline and highly domed with angled sides and rounded top. The sides have extensive remains of gilding. The concave back is entirely filled with iron corrosion apart from a small rectangular slot that runs through the corrosion and appears to hold remains of a grained iron substance, either wrought iron or organic material filled with iron corrosion. The copper alloy dome is 19.1mm in diameter, 11.0mm tall and 2…
