An elaborate silver head from a Roman hair pin, 21.1mm in length. The form from the base to the tip comprises a conical lower collar, a flattened biconical reel, a large flattened sphere, a large double disc at the midpoint (diameter 9.2mm), a waisted reel, a smaller waisted reel and a conical or pointed acorn-shaped tip. The shaft is broken off at the base of the head. There is damage to the upper section in the form of a pronounced cut which has bent and nearly severed the tip of the pin head. Length 21.1mm, diameter (at widest part) 9.2mm, weight 3.59g.

A copper-alloy medieval single-looped trapezoidal buckle dating to the period c. 1350-1500. The bar is narrowed and the pin is complete. The front of the buckle appears to be folded back over on itself at the outer edge, double thickness, with incurved corners, which is an appearance intended when cast. A copper-alloy post-medieval double-looped rectangular buckle frame dating to c. 1570-1700. The frame is plain with a notch for the pin at one end, though the pin itself is missing. It has slightly rounded corners. The object has a green patina. The buckle measures 28.50 mm in length, 24.26 mm in width and weighs 6.49 g. A similar example can be found illustrated in Whitehead (2003, 75) no. 459 and given the above date range, though without supporting evidence.

The frame is oval to D-shaped, with an integral circular sectioned rivet projecting outwards 2.2mm from the centre of the base, now bent slightly to one side. The sides of the frame are rectangular in cross section, becoming slightly D-shaped on the outer edge, probably due to wear. On its outer edge there are two shallow, angled knops flanking three transverse grooves; the example can be classified as being of Meols type 8. The bar is narrowed, recessed and offset. The pin is missing; the central groove on the outer edge would have acted as a pin rest. The buckle measures 14.02 mm in length, 15.20 mm in width and weighs 0.87 g. A similar example can be found in Whitehead (2003, 22) no. 92.

An almost complete, but damaged, medieval copper-alloy strap-end dating to c. 1275 to 1400. The strap-end consists of two pieces of copper-alloy sheet forming front and back plates. The sheets are long and trapezoidal; they end in a rounded lobe and then a trefoil- or cross-like shape. Description: An incomplete Early Medieval silver strap-end dating to c. AD 750-950. The strap-end is tongue-shaped with a pointed terminal. The plate tapers inwards from a 14.8 mm to 8.6 mm in width before it terminates to a point. The top of the plate is rectangular and has one central rivet hole with a diameter of 3.2 mm.
