A complete copper alloy strap end dating from the medieval period dating to c.14th Century AD. The strap end is of split end type, with a copper alloy rivet holding the two plates in place. The strap end is rectangular in shape, and narrows slightly towards the terminal end. The terminal end is a solid rectangular knop with incised diagonal notches. There is a narrow neck connecting this to the main body of the strap end. An incomplete Medieval ivory knife handle dating from AD 1100-1500. The handle consists of a rectangular section, which tapers to the grip, and a circular terminal at the widest end. The handle has a squared section. The handle is broken towards the blade end. The object is decorated with dots and a double linear engraving lines running around the edges of the rectangular section. An incomplete whetstone of probable early-medieval date (c. AD 800 - 1100).
Description: The whetstone is formed from a very fine-grained, sedimentary, mica-rich stone. It is sub-trapezoidal in plan with tapering sides and is trapezoidal in cross section although there is significant post-depositional damage that has changed its profile. Both ends are broken, probably in antiquity. Two sides are flat and smooth. The other sides are damaged.

Roman, copper alloy brooch of 'Polden Hill' type, first century AD. Bow and head plain. The underside of the wings is recessed to accomodate a coiled spring which is secured by an axial pin the ends of the which are located in holes through circular plates at the ends of the wings. The fastening pin and and catch plate missing and the original surface of the brooch has been lost. Length 45.8mm, Width 24.1mm, Height 17.1mm, Mass 18.21g.
