A Roman Copper alloy developed T-Shaped brooch, probably dating to c. AD 75-150. The surviving fragment comprises of the head of the brooch only. The brooch features a large semi-circular headplate with a concave reverse. Cylindrical wings project from the base of the reverse of the head, holding a copper alloy axis bar in situ, and with a central rectangular slot accomodating a hinged pin, now lost. An incomplete Roman copper alloy developed T-shaped brooch, probably dating to c. AD 75-150. The surviving section comprises of the upper bow and headplate, the lower bow and pin being lost. The head of the brooch expands into a D-shaped headplate with the vestigial remains of an integral headloop at its apex. From the reverse expands a pair of perforated D-shaped lugs; retaining traces of an iron axis bar and pin in situ. The bow drops out fo the head with a very shallowly plano-convex cross section. An incomplete Roman copper alloy developed T-shaped brooch, probably dating to c. AD 75-150. At the head of the brooch the cylindrical wings survive to a width of 30.4mm; c. 4.0mm in diameter. These have a central rectangualr slot cut into the reverse, and hold a copper alloy axis bar and incomplete pin in situ.
