A complete lead-alloy bag seal of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1750 - 1900. The seal is roughly tear drop shaped with a rectangular cross section. The front is decorated with a stamped design of the crowned Dutch shield bearing the rampant lion of Holland framed within a border of raised pellets. The reverse is stamped with "R&A" which stands for Regten en Accynsen (Customs and Excise) over the control number "456".
The metal has a light brown patina and is in fair condition. The seal is 22.3mm long, 17.8mm wide, 4.3mm thick and weighs 9.5g.

The metal has a mid-brown patina and is worn. The seal is 26.3mm long, 10.9mm to 4.1mm in diameter, 4.2mm thick and weighs 4.5g.

A small lead musket ball dating from the post-medieval period, about AD 1600 - 1900. The casting sprue remains and also part of the casting seam. There is an eruption on one side of the ball, suggesting that a small bubble may have formed during casting. The ball has a light grey patina. It is 13mm in diameter (including casting sprue) and weighs 8.6g, suggesting that it was intended for use in a pistol.

Description: Post-medieval silver cuff link element. A circular disc with a down-turned edge, now bent out of shape in places. The obverse exhibits a stamped repoussé design of two hearts surmounted by a crown on a stippled background (Lewis 2013, Type A). The reverse of the disc exhibits an integrally cast attachment loop. A small section of the silver wire connecting loop terminates in an old break at either end.
Dimensions: Diameter 11.5mm, thickness (including loop) 4.5mm, weight 0.4g. Length of connecting loop 12.5mm, diameter 1.2mm, weight 0.1g, so total weight 0.5g.

Description: Incomplete post-medieval gilded silver pin. It has a globular head, now squashed to a flattish shape and therefore originally hollow. There is a pellet at the apex, and the head is divided into two hemispheres by two circumferential rows of filigree (twisted) wire around the widest point. Each hemisphere is decorated with a series of oval loops of filigree (from the photograph, they appear to be drop-shaped with the ends of the wires not perhaps meeting). A ceramic vessel of probable Post Medieval date, about AD 1500 - 1800. Only half of the base of the vessel survives. The fabric is very hard and vitrified, probably a stoneware, with a fine texture and frequent small black inclusions in the buff coloured matrix. The diameter of the base would have been about 90mm. The walls are broken just after they start to flare outwards. The inside of the vessel contains some vitrified material, perhaps glaze or glass which is crazed and angular.
