The surviving section comprises of the upper bow and head, the lower bow and majority of the pin being lost. A cast lead artefact,probably a weight, of Medieval to Modern date, AD 1200 - 1900. It is in the form of a short squat bell, having a circular base and curved concave sides rising to a flat top. On the top is an integrally cast, rectangular suspension loop, pierced with a small, circular perforation. The weight has a patchy white patina. It is 19.1mm high, the diameter of the base is 28.1mm and it weighs 50.63g (1.78oz), so was probably intended as a two ounce weight. Similar weights are recorded on the database: compare for example records BERK-85F15B.
