A copper-alloy Roman quadrans of Trajan (AD 98-117), dating to the period c.AD 98-117 (Reece period 5). S C reverse type depicting a club. Mint of Rome. As RIC II, p. 293, no. 699; Woytek, 2010: pp. 486-487, no. 603b-1. Quadrantes are rarely found in Britain. There were not officially issued in the Province and probably arrived in private purses.
