A wrought iron arrowhead of medieval date, AD.1200-1550. The object is formed of a round socket that makes up the majority of the object's length. The tip of the arrowhead has a diamond shaped cross section. There is a slight waist where the tip meets the socket, however, the maximum width of the tip does not exceed that of the socket. Jessop 1996 type M3 Arrowheads of this type are typically 'military' in nature though they would serve equally in hunting.
