An incomplete lead-alloy pilgrim's ampulla, of medieval date AD 1350 - 1550. The body of the hollow ampulla is semi - circular, with short, straight, sides which would have extended up to a neck, now missing. Here the damaged edge shows the construction of the piece by revealing the hollow interior. The obverse is slightly rounded, with a reversed S centrally placed. Other decorative elements are indiscernible. A lead-alloy pilgrim's ampulla of medieval date, c.AD 1150 - 1350. The body of the ampulla is circular with an elongated rectangular neck extending from one edge. The remains of two attachment loops project to either side of the neck where it meets the body. The opening at the top of the neck has been pinched shut. On one side of the rounded body of the ampulla there is moulded decoration in the form of a scallop shell. An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman T-shaped brooch with developed hinge, dating to the period AD 50-150. The brooch has tubular wings which encases the pin axis bar, with the head of the hinged pin remaining. The bow is rectangular in plan and tapers towards the foot of the brooch which is now missing. An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman Colchester derivative brooch of the sprung (Dolphin) type dating to the period AD 43-65. The brooch is a small example of the type measuring only 17mm in length in its current form. The brooch has short wings slightly curved in section and a corroded head lug. An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of medieval date, c.AD 1350 - 1450. The buckle has a single looped oval frame with a projecting lip to the outer edge. From the opposite side of the loop an integral forked spacer extends, each arm flanking a narrowed pin bar. One arm tapers to a blunted point while the other terminates in a worn break. The metal has a dark brown/green patina and is worn. The buckle is 64mm long, 14.9mm wide, 3.4mm thick and weighs 4.6g. Broken copper-alloy double-oval loop buckle. The frame is decorated on the front face with a leaf-like moulded pattern over which there are substantial remains of gilding. The cross section is sub-rectangular. The strap bar is slightly narrowed with end stubs projecting just beyond the sides of the frame. The pin survives intact. Copper alloy fragment probably one half of a laterally folded Medieval composite buckle plate. The fragment consists of a thin trapezoidal sheet broken laterally across the narrow end.
