A probable Roman copper alloy furniture fitting, dating to c. AD 43-410. The fitting consists of a plano-convex knop, with a narrowed, waisted projection expanding from the base. There are traces of iron corrosion affixed to the base of the projection. The knop is undecorated except for a slightly obliquely angled incised circumferencial collar around the the base. The finial is 20.7mm in length/height, 17.94mm in width (diameter of dome) and weighs 21.16g. A large cast copper alloy Colchester derivative Polden Hill brooch, incomplete and now in two refitting pieces. An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman T-shaped brooch with developed hinge, dating to the period AD 50-150. The brooch has tubular wings which encases the pin axis bar, with the head of the hinged pin remaining. The bow is rectangular in plan and tapers towards the foot of the brooch which is now missing.
