Description: Treasure reference 2018 T740; a post-medieval silver-gilt dress hook of Reads' 'Early post-medieval Class D, Type 7' (Read 2008, p. 83, no. 280). The dress hook is formed of four conjoined fleur-de-lis radiating from a central hole inlaid with a large bulbous-headed knop that imitates a cabochon gem. The knop passes through the central hole and splays onto the reverse to stop it from coming loose. The arms of the dress hook are in moulded-relief with openwork segments between.
