A fragment of an enameled copper alloy flat-ringed terret, 51.1mm in length, of later Iron Age date. The fragment comprises a portion of a rounded to sub-rectangular sectioned bar flanked by a 16.4mm wide and partly concave, oval expansion or collar at the end. A portion of a crescentic loop expands in width from the terminal but is broken at a point 30.6mm around the circumference. A probable Roman copper alloy furniture fitting, dating to c. AD 43-410. The fitting consists of a plano-convex knop, with a narrowed, waisted projection expanding from the base. There are traces of iron corrosion affixed to the base of the projection. The knop is undecorated except for a slightly obliquely angled incised circumferencial collar around the the base. The finial is 20.7mm in length/height, 17.94mm in width (diameter of dome) and weighs 21.16g. Description Treasure reference 2018 T741: a Roman silver finger ring, probably of Henig Type VIII which dates to the second or third century AD. The ring has a flat sub-rectangular bezel with sloping triangular shoulders. The shoulders taper to form a slender hoop. The bezel is very worn and no inscription or decoration is visible.
