A complete, cast copper alloy strap fitting of Post Medieval date (1450-1700). The complex plate is heavily abraded. It has a symetrical outline either side of a central piercing, possibly representing two animal heads facing in opposite diections. The mount has a deep green patina with traces of gilding in the recesses of the front face. The undulating surface of the abraded plate suggests decorative moulding, with the suggestion of a eye socket in the possible head at each end. A ceramic Roman Lowther's Group 4 and Betts Die 11, relief-patterned flue-tile dating from AD 150-200. The front is decorated with relief-patterned rolled design in the "Compass" group style, Betts et al (1997:60 Fig. 27h, 11). The fabric is oxidised red with numerous sand and flint inclusions. There is a similar tile recorded (LON-0F2C94) by Stuart Wyatt, which was found in the same area of foreshore but at a different date. A complete Post Medieval bone fid or apple corer, dating circa 18th century. The object is formed from a sheep's metapodial which has been carved using a saw. The proximal end of the bone has been cut at straight angle (Paul Stoke's type 1 typology) and the shaft exposed by removing the upper part of the walls, to form a scoop. The tip of the object is square with rounded corners. The distal end of the bone forms the handle, which has been decorated with an engraved design consisting of 3 ring and dot motifs in a triangle formation, above three horizontal lines.
