A copper-alloy possibly Medieval mount, dating to AD 1200-1500. It a sub-rectangular strip of metal, which tapers at both ends, terminating in two pointed tips. The tapered ends are folded towards the back face of the strip. The strip is slightly bent in the middle. No other paralles have been found. Length: 47.58 mm Width: 9.10 mm Thickness: 2.14 mm Weight: 3.67 g

A set of cast, probably brass (copper-alloy) nutcrackers. They consist of three main sections; the cracking surfaces, the central shaft, and the curved handles. The cracking surfaces (24mm in length) start at the hinge, where the two pieces of metal that form the object are joined by a small pin. They are half cylindrical in shape, the inner surface with triangular indentations and nubs to secure the nut. An incomplete copper-alloy Post Medieval revolving seal matrix, dating to AD 1700-1850. It is oval in plan and bears a circular socket on the top and buttom edge (along the longitudinal axis), in which two hinges attached to a handle were inserted. Both faces bear a die: one face has a laureate and draped bust left and the other face has masonic symbols such as the square and compass in the centre, the level and plumb rule above, two shovels below; in the field there is a possible G and an anvil along with a cog. An incomplete copper alloy finger ring of Roman date, c.AD 43-410. Only the bezel and the shoulders remain with the rest of the hoop missing. The bezel is oval in plan and rectangular in profile with an oval setting, recessed within a raised collar to take glass or a stone but not an intaglio, due to its size. The shoulders abut the bezel with concave sections before expanding to convex ridges and then tapering in width towards the broken edges. The size of the ring suggests that it would have been worn by a child or an adult with small fingers. The fragment measures 16.8 mm in length…
