Medieval lead 4 oz weight. Thick, discoidal with slight hollowing on both faces. Diam. 30mm. 16mm thick. Weighs 1701.2 grains, 3.8885 oz, 110.23 g. Cf. Biggs (1992), 42-3. A mercantile pound of 16oz Troy was in use during the 14th and 15th centuries (Biddle 1990, 911 Table 91 f.n.2). 14th-15th century.

A cast lead alloy spindle whorl, probably dating from the late medieval to early post medieval period (c AD 1300-1600). It is bi-conical, with a circular perforation. The perforation has an internal diameter of 8mm. The object is very worn and has a greyish/white patina. The diameter is 25mm and the weight 33.72g. Similar examples of spindle whorls have been found in contexts from the Roman through to the Post-Medieval period. However most are typically dated to the Medieval period. The diameter is 22mm and the weight 25.77g.

Iron wedge. A wrought iron blade approaching hourglass form, with a broad curved cutting edge, a constriction a little above its midpoint where the profile is slightly thickened, and a flat narrower butt. One side of the blade is thicker towards the cutting edge, with a sharp stepped edge to the thickened part. The straight edge opposite the cutting edge is burred by recurrent impact from the use of the object. An incomplete Post Medieval ceramic stoneware Siegburg drinking bowl dating from AD1350-1500. The sherd consists of part of the rim and bowl of the vessel. The vessel is unglazed and has a light grey fabric with some discoloration from its deposition environment. The complete vessel would have been a shallow drinking bowl with a thumbed pedestal foot, see Gaimster (1997:168 Fig 2) for a complete example. Probably a cast, lead alloy toy handle possibly from a petronel gun, of post medieval date (AD 1700-1900). The handle is a dark grey in colour with some patches of corrosion. The object is curved and broken at potentially both ends. The handle does have some engraved decoration but is difficult to distinguish through wear and corrosion. Similar objects on the Portable Antiquities Scheme include: DUR-3BE03A. The length is 43mm, the width is 13mm and the weight 5.68g.

A cast blade of elongated sub-triangular form, resembling one side of a pair of tweezers, thinned at its broader end and thickened as it narrows, terminating at a small sharp curved rhomboid point.
