An incomplete and corroded Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper-alloy single-loop buckle (c. 450-c. 600). The bar and pin are missing. The frame is 'D'-shaped in plan and cross-section, flat at the rear. The metal, where it is not corroded, is silvery green. There is iron staining at the front and rear and the breaks are old. An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy mount (c. 1500-c. 1650). The mount is in the form of a flower with two leaves and a stalk. The front of the mount has a moulded design consisting of a rounded flower head. There is a leaf at each side and a stalk below. The rear face has the stubs of two integral tapering spikes, one at each end. This mount is reddish brown at the front and green at the rear. A complete copper-alloy seal matrix of medieval date, c.AD 1300 - 1400. The die of the matrix is circular with a tapering hexagonally faceted handle extending from the reverse. The handle terminates in an oval-shaped terminal with central perforation which would have served as a suspension loop. The die itself carries a central motif depicting three figures, one seated.
