An incomplete cast copper alloy Colchester derivative Polden Hill type brooch of Roman date (80-120 AD). The wings are near complete with flat and pierced end caps. The axis bar, spring and pin are lost. The spring was probably formed of copper alloy wire which was held in place by an external cord which is fixed to an eroded rearward facing hook positioned at the midpoint on the upper edge of the reverse. An incomplete late Medieval to post medieval cast, copper-alloy double loop buckle c. 1350 – 1650. Description: The frame has two D-shaped loops either side of a narrow, central bar recessed from the front edge of the frame. An incomplete post-medieval cast copper-alloy incomplete plate furniture fitting, probably a handl escutcheon dating to the 17th century. It is flat with a fleur like in projection a thte apex. being 22.1mm in height and 23.9mm wide. There is a central fixing aperture in the rounded top, adjacent to the downward curved arms on both sides. The body widens slightly and then terminates in an old break. An incomplete post medieval cast, copper-alloy asymmetrical buckle c. 1575-1700. Description: The buckle is double-looped, with one in plan, rectangular loop and one rounded, or D shaped loop. The bar is narrowed, forming a trapezoidal frame with the rust remains of an iron pin remaining. The frame has bevelled outer edges while the reverse is plain and flat.
