A flint scraper of Mesolithic or Neolithic date, about 9000 - 2200 BC.It is formed on a secondary flake of yellow grey flint with some patchy speckled patination. The flake is D shaped with a straight right edge. It has been worked from the proximal end, with some long flakes removed from the dorsal face. The proximal end and proximal left side are retouched with short, sub-parallel, abrupt removals forming the scraping edge. Cortex survives on the distal end and most of the right side. There is also a small area of retouch at the distal end which is fine, worked from the ventral face…

The laterial edges feel as if there are serrated, but this is probably due to damage rather than intention. The flint has a mottled dark to light grey colour.
