Post-medieval copper alloy knife end-cap with the end of the iron scale-tang in a slot, cylindrical and of oval cross-section. The exterior is engraved with two saltires within rectangular frames and, on the proximal end, with eight radial lines (i.e. a cross on a saltire). Cf. NMS-2E5E73Z, LON-9FD153 and LEIC-026CDC. Length (excluding remains of tang) 13.7mm. Width 12mm. Thickness 10.6mm. The tang is very slightly wider. 16th century.
