Incomplete medieval to post medieval foot from a cooking vessel such as a cauldron dating to the period c. AD 1200 - 1700. The foot is trapezoidal in cross-section with a central mid-rib flanked on either side by a narrow rib and a wide rib in turn, surmounted by a transverse collar. The foot tapers from 29.2mm in thickness at the base to 18mm at the collar. Just above the collar, the leg narrows sharply to 4mm, terminating in a worn break. A copper alloy artefact of unknown date. It is in the shape of a rough triangle with rounded corners and is domed. The reverse is hollow. The narrower end is a break and the object is C shaped in cross-section at this point. An incomplete cast copper-alloy buckle dating to the Medieval period, c. 1250-1400. The plate is missing, though the frame and pin are preserved intact. The frame itself is single-looped, being 'D' shaped in plan with a thickened/heavily canted outer edge, the latter demonstrating cast symmetrical tendrilled motifs and traces of gilding. The strap-bar is offset and knopped at its terminals, the wound-wire pin still loosely wrapped around the bar. Description: The strap-end comprises two sub-rectangular, slightly tapering plates of sheet copper-alloy with a straight edge at the wider attachment end and a rounded terminal at the opposite, narrower end. There are the remains of a leather strap in-situ between the plates at the attachment end. The plates are held in place with two copper-alloy rivets, one at each end, along the centre line.
