A fragment of a lead alloy spoon, probably of post-Medieval date, about AD 1650 - 1800. The remaining portion consists of part of an oval shaped bowl and a short section of a roughly hexagonal stem. The underside of the bowl has a short length of raised moulding at the junction of bowl and stem. The fragment is 35.8mm long, 29.4mm wide and 6.2mm thick. It weighs 5.58g. Similar spoon fragments are recorded on the database: see for example records BUC-49A328, SOM-F59E70 and SOM-A25A65.
