A lead label, seal or tally of Modern date, about AD 1800 - 1900. It is in the form of a rectangular plate with cut straight edges, and with a circular perforation (countersunk on one face) in the middle of one short end. It is stamped with the number 42 at next to the hole, and the number 5 at the other end, much more faintly, and the other way up. There is a piece of very fine copper alloy wire which passes through the hole and is twisted to form a loop. The tag is 30.6mm long, 18.6mm wide and 2.9mm thick. It weighs 10.92g. It has a smooth yellow cream patina. Compare NLM-570DB5.

A copper alloy probable hinge plate of probable Post Medieval date, about AD 1500 - 1800. It is in the form of a rectangular sheet with one end rolled over into a cylinder. The end opposite the tube is incomplete, and any attachment fixings were probably on the missing part. It is 23.4mm long, 22mm wide and 5.1mm thick. It weighs 3.44g.

A very short copper alloy buckle plate of probable Medieval date, about AD 1200 - 1500. The front and back plate match, and are both plain and very short. They are joined by two integral hinge loops leaving a slot for the pin and recessed corners to accomodate the frame. There are the remains of two iron rivets , one at each end of the plate which is much wider across the strap than it is long. The frame and pin are missing. The plate is 11.4mm long, 20.7mm wide and 6.7mm thick. It weighs 2.25g.

A copper alloy probable strap fitting of Medieval to Post Medieval date, about AD 1300 - 1800, perhaps a book fitting, strap end or buckle plate. It is in the form of a sub-rectangular sheet, now folded, with a scalloped projection containing a rivet hole at the wider end, and tapering to a break across a possible rivet hole at the narrower end. Part of the wide end is missing. There is no visible surface decoration and the fold appears to be damage rather than design. The plate has a dark grey patina. A copper alloy unidentified artefact, possibly a strap end, mount or buckle plate of probable Post Medieval to Modern date, about AD 1500 - 1900. It is a sub-rectangular piece of sheet metal, which tapers from an uneven break at the wide end, to an oblique cut at the narrower end. The plate is bent into a U near the narrower end, and the plate then bends outwards again as it gets wider. There is no visible decoration nor evidence of attachment. An incomplete copper alloy possible buckle plate, probably of Medieval date, about AD 1150 - 1500. It is a rectangular piece of sheet metal, broken at one end, and with two separate copper alloy rivets fairly near the other end. The plate is damaged by being bent near the middle. It could also be a mount. It is 16.7mm long, 11.9mm wide and 7.1mm thick. It weighs 0.73g. It has a grey green patina with a reflective (possibly tinned) surface in some areas.

An unidentified lead artefact of Unknown date. It Is a sub-circular object, with all the outer edges being broken. One face is concave and one face is convex. There is a circular and carefully moulded hole in the centre. The concave face is the least damaged area and has a grey brown patina. The damaged edges reveal a cream grey core. It is 14.3mm long, 11.7mm wide and 4.9mm thick. It weighs 2.1g.

A copper alloy, D shaped buckle dating from the Medieval period, about AD 1200 - 1400, or possibly earlier. The buckle is comparable to Meols Type 1 buckles. The frame has a broad outer outer edge and a narrowed strap bar. The whole frame is sub-circular in cross-section. There is no decoration and the pin and plate are missing. The buckle has a grey green patina. See Page 84 of the Meols Catalogue, Griffiths, Philpott and Egan, 2007. The buckle is 13.9mm long, 21.6mm wide and 4.2mm thick. It weighs 3.44g.

The plates are joined at one end by two copper alloy rivets, positioned in the centre of the end and right next to each other, in a row from the end inwards. The rivets are flush with the metal. The other end of the plates are broken. There is no visible decoration. The object is 22.6mm long, 11.5mm wide and 3.7mm thick. It weighs 1.38gm.

A copper alloy medieval strap slide type of strap fitting dating from AD 1270 - 1400. It is of the type with an integral external rivet in the centre of the bar. The loop is trapezoidal and the frame is rectangular in section apart form the outer edge which is bevelled on the outer edge making it pentagonal. Compare to the examples on page 230 onwards in Dress Accessories. It is 15.6mm long, 12.4mm wide and 3.7mm thick. It weighs 1.53g.

An incomplete copper alloy strap end of Medieval date, about AD 1250 - 1450. It is a single sheet from a strap end. The body is sub-rectangular, tapering towards the closed end which has a small pointed knop projecting from the centre. The attachment end is slightly oblique. There is a copper alloy rivet at each end. See Egan and Pritchard (1991) Page 142. It is 25.2mm long, 12.3mm wide and 2.6mm thick. It weighs 1.26g.

It has a solid head in the form of an oblate spheroid and an integral, flat lug with a triangular perforation.The button has a dark brown patina. It is 11.6mm in diameter and 16.9mm long. The flat lug is 2.8mm thick. It weighs 4.39g.
Buttons of this type are illustrated in Bailey, G. 2004, Buttons and Fasteners 500BC - AD1840, page 29, numbers 7.37 - 7.39.

A copper alloy buckle of post-Medieval date, about AD 1660 - 1720. It is a double looped buckle with "kidney" shaped inner edges to the frames and knops flanking the central bar. The bar is iron and there is an incomplete chape and a sheet pin articulating on it. The chape or plate has a maker's mark reading: "IG" in a cartouche with a bilobed top like a heart. The buckle is curved longitudinally. It is 39.1mm long, 24.9mm wide and 5.9mm thick. It weighs 10.58gm. The buckle is similar to number 626 on page 99 of Whitehead's Buckles.

A rim sherd from a glazed ceramic vessel of Probable Post Medieval date. The fabric is hard and pale orange throughout with very few inclusions. There is a dark orange slip on the outer face and a shiny orange glaze on the inner face. The rim is simply rounded and has a wide band which is thickened on the outer face. The inner face curves gently from wall to rim. It was probably a large shallow dish. It is 88.8mm long, 56.9mm wide and 16.3mm thick. It weighs 73.38gm.

It has a pimply surface and no surviving glaze. It is a rim sherd, the rim being a wide outward flange with a square edge, and a concave base. It is 35.2mm long, 20.9mm wide and 15.5mm thick. It weighs 10.02gm.
