The implement has been extensively chipped and ground into a long elongated sub-rectangular shape in plan that tapers from the cutting edge to the butt which terminates in a rounded point. The blade on the forward edge has been ground into an asymmetrical crescent, this is also the only section to have been polished. The stone is a dark green with an extensive creamy mottling. The axe dates from between circa 3500 BC to 2100BC
