A copper alloy ring, possibly a medieval (c. 14th - early-15th century) buckle missing its pin. The frame has flattened upper and lower surfaces, creating an oval section. There is no recess or restraining notch for a pin, suggesting this may have been a buckle rather than a brooch (an alternative is that this was a netting ring, but the frame appears too thick). There are file marks on the surface. Diameter 26 mm, thickness 4 mm, Weight 2.6 g

Copper alloy ring. Cast ring of round section, markedly thinned by localised wear. The effect is to make the object resemble an ear ring, but the band remains continuous and without provision for fitting. A reddish tint to the metal is a feature shared with many objects of Anglo-Scandinavian date. Suggested date: Unknown, Early Medieval to Medieval, 850-1500. Diameter: 16.9mm, Band Thickness: 2.3mm, Weight: 1.63gms
