A cast lead alloy bag seal of the Post Medieval peiod (AD1600-1800). The seal consists of two discs soldered together, with a tab leading from one edge. There is a slot between them to enable a drawstring to be attached.One face is inscribed with an unequal X with a line extending from the centre. The other face has a slightly raised centre which bears what seems to be four small lozenge shapes.There are no other marks on the seal.
