A complete Medieval silver long cross cut farthing of Henry III (1216-1272 AD), minted by Henri. Class 3b-3c, 1248-1250 (North 1994: 226, refs: 987-988).
Obverse: [hENRICVS R]EX:I[II]; Crowned bust facing without sceptre.
Reverse: [ ]RIO[ ]; Voided long cross with three pellets in each quadrant.
Length: 9.0mm; width: 8.8mm. Weight: 0.31g. DA=12:10.

Obverse description: Crowned bust facing with sceptre.
Obverse inscription: hENR[ICVS REX]
Reverse description: Voided short cross with four pellets in each quarter.
Reverse inscription: [NIC] hOL[ -------].
The coin is in a fair condition with some wear on both faces obscuring some of the inscriptions and part of the bust making a positive identification of all information difficult. The moneyer is probably Nichole but the mint marking cannot be seen. The coin has been clipped a…
