A cast copper-alloy strap fitting from the Late Iron Age (c.100 BC - AD 100), circular in plan, 16 mm in diameter, 4 mm in thickness and weight 4.05 g. Approximately 1 mm in from the circumference the fitting has been pierced by a tear-shaped hole, 4.7 mm in diameter; diametrically opposite it is a linear piercing 9 mm long and 1.5 mm wide. There are signs of wear around the edges of the circular piercing, suggesting that a fastening cord may have passed through it. A fragment of a lead-alloy medieval pilgrim souvenir or secular badge. Sub-triangular in plan, 18.5 mm wide, 19.5 mm in height, 3 mm in thickness and 5.05 g in weight. The undamaged surfaces are now a matt grey with the broken edges revealing a crystalline corrosion product. The weight is an octagonal pyramid, fluted at the sides resulting in an irregular octagon in section, wider at the base and tapering to the top where there is an integral suspension loop. Its total length is 52.5 mm, diameter 20.5 mm at its base narrowing to 11.5 mm at the top, immediately below the rectangular suspension loop which is 11 mm x 7 mm. Incomplete cast copper-alloy spectacle buckle with just one loop remaining, the strap bar and the pin. The strap bar is 2 mm in width with the corroded folded-metal pin wrapped around its centre. At each end of the strap bar is a small lobed knop. The single remaining loop has an angled frame which is D-shaped internally in plan; the loop is narrow at the strap bar but widens towards the angled mid-point of the outer edge which is triangular in plan.
