An incomplete and somewhat corroded copper-alloy bow brooch of Hod Hill type 10c , dating c. AD 43-75. The pin and part of the head along with the foot are missing in old breaks, but otherwise the brooch is preserved intact. Fragment of a Late Saxon Anglo Scandinavian copper alloy zoomorphic harness/bridle cheek piece dating to the period c. AD 1020 - 1100. Only one projecting arm remains. It exhibits two old breaks, indicating the position of two missing radiating arms. An unidentified lead alloy object of possible post-Medieval date (c. 1700-c. 1850). This object is rectangular in plan and cross-section with a shaft at one end which is circular in cross-section. The shaft tapers in diameter from 5.0mm to 3.8mm where there is a possible break. Casting 'spue' on one face of the rectangular part. The object has a buff patina. Secondary, hard hammer struck flake, the platform was produced by a transverse flake removal. It is of black glossy flint with thin weathered (mostly) cortical dorsal face apart from the edge of a previous flake removal, struck at the same angle as the main flake, both lateral edges appear to be irregularly and steeply retouched, one edge has a broad, shallow notch formed by two large and stout hard hammer blows.
