An incomplete cast copper-alloy near complete early-medieval strap-end of Tomas Class B type 1, c.AD 775-950. Description: The strap-end is formed by a long narrow piece of copper split at the attachment end with two rivet holes, but it is incomplete. A fragment of Post-Medieval copper-alloy spur terminal. Description: The fragment consists an incomplete spur arm D-shaped in cross-section and terminating in a worn break at one end. At the other end the bar expands into a transverse collar and from there into a sub-circular section with an off-centre drilled perforation, from this expands a further perforated circular section, at between 12 and 1 o'clock relative to the bar. With just the head remaining the crossbar is round in cross-section being 5.17mm diameter and 38.1mm wide, terminating on each side with a slightly larger moulded collar. The body is rectangular in cross-section (7.2mm x 6.7mm) and 'steps down' to a thickness of 4.7mm. There is a 6mm protruding spike on the first step displaying signs of an old break at its tip. A complete cast copper-alloy casket key dating to the Medieval period, c. 1150-1400. It demonstrates a plain circular bow with a large central circular aperture, from the front of which projects a hollow circular-sectioned shank. At the opposing end of the shank, the bit extends downwards-being rectangular in plan with a single cleft cut out of each edge. Preserved in good condition with an even greenish patina, it measures 35.46mm long, 13.06mm in diameter at the bow, 3.37mm thick at the midpoint of the shank and weighs 4.41g. An incomplete cast copper-alloy button of an unidentified Napoleonic Militia unit, probably dating c. 1795-1810. The shank is missing, but otherwise it is preserved intact. The front of the button is plano-convex in section and domed, with residual traces of gilding visible. alongside the design of the letters 'WHV' underneath a crown. 'WH' obviously refers to the location of the unit, while 'V' almost certainly stands for 'Volunteers'.
