An incomplete cast copper alloy double looped buckle. A large buckle frame with oval loops. The inner edges of the frame are chamfered. The outer edges of the loops are lipped and are both decorated with three transverse notches. The integral bar is narrowed from the frame and has a trapezoidal cross section. There is a remnant of the iron pin attached to the centre bar. A copper alloy strap end of Thomas Class B, Type I, transverse grooved. The split attachment end is wedge shaped, tapering towards the solid shaft of the strap end. Small abraded body sherd from a ceramic cooking pot of Medieval date. The sherd is sub-squared in shape with an oxidised pale orange surface and a dark grey core. The fabric is mixed with abundent fine to medium sand temper and moderate angular flint/chert (up to 3 mm). Not micaceous. The sherd measures 25.6 mm in length, 26.8 mm in width, 9.4 mm in thickness and weighs 7.26 g.

Obverse: the 'sun in splendour', EDMOND BIGGS IN Reverse: initials E B M in triangle, GLIMESFORD SVFFOLK Farthing trade tokens were first issued in 1648 as a response to the lack of small change, with halfpenny tokens following in 1656. They were suppressed under Royal Authority in 1674. The 'sun in splendour' motif is commonly used on distillers' tokens as it forms part of the coat of arms of the Worshipful Company of Distillers.

A copper-alloy fragment, probably from a Post-Medieval buckle dating to c.1575-1700. The majority of the frame and the pin is missing and all that remains is the openwork moulding from the outer edge. The fragmant is an openwork lozenge in shape with concave sieds and two pieces of the frame ending in an old breakage at one side. The outer, complete, end has a protruding knop which is trefoil-like in shape. A more complete example on the database is PUBLIC-069A78 which has a similar openwork moulding. That is an asymmetrical buckle dating to c. AD 1575-1700.

A worn but complete copper-alloy circular stud mount of medieval date (AD 1066-1540). The face is decorated with a foliate design, with a flowing central stem curving out from the narrow band around the circumference. Six progressively smaller leaves branch out, three on each side, from the central stem, which appears to have a small teardrop shape enclosed in its base. The reverse of the object is flat, undecorated and has an integral, projecting shank, 15mm long. An incomplete cast copper alloy medieval bar mount from a casket (c. 1200-1400). The object has zoomorphic decoration on the front surface, and is plain on the reverse. One half of the mount is plain and has a triangular cross-section. The other half is almost rectangular in cross-section and is decorated with a moulded animal head. The bar has been broken across the single rivet holes at either end. See FAKL-9555C1 . Ref. Margeson (1993), p 78, no.473, and Coad (1982) fig 43.

An incomplete Roman copper alloy finger ring, probably of Guiraud's type 2d or 2e, probably dating to c. AD 43-250; a small strip of copper alloy, found alongside the ring, is possibly associated. A Medieval lead seal matrix, probably dating to c. AD 1200-1300. The matrix is pointed oval (vesica) shaped in plan, depicting a deeply incised fleur-de-lis on it's front face.
