A Post-Medieval copper alloy coin from India, probably the denomination called a paisa, probably dating to AD 1790-1830. A close parallel seems to be SWYOR-B55B81, "a Paisa of Gwalior State, Gwalior Fort mint, struck in the name of the Mughal Emperor Muhammad Akbar II, during the reign of Maharaja Daulat Rao Scindia (1796-1825)". It is common to find Indian coins in Britain, probably because they were brought here by people serving in the colonial Empire in India.

The pits are hand drilled and circular, arranged in three concentric circles around the tonsure and more irregular rows around the sides. There are two incised bands around the mouth of the thimble. The thimble has a split up most of one side, which reaches as high as the shoulder, but this does not seem to indicate the join of a sheet metal thimble. Almost opposite this split is another, shorter, split, with a small triangular shape piece missing at…

An incomplete cast copper alloy gilt medieval object, possibly a book mount. The object comprises of a flat rectangular neck, joined with a faint collar suggested by a small bump on each outside edge where it then widens out to a roughly circular concave shape, the object being damaged and split around the edges so original shape is unclear. The flat neck part is broken off unevenly around 10mm below the collar. The side of the roundel opposite the piece of remaining neck is broken off roughly so it is impossible to say whether this rounded shape was the terminal of the object, or if …
