Post medieval silver milled penny of Charles II dating to AD 1683. London mint. See: Spink, p.325, no.3390. Square perforation behind bust, indicating a secondary function. This would normally indicate that it should be considered as potential Treasure. However, since coins of this period with similar piercings appear in hoards of currency, it suggests that such objects could re-enter circulation as coins.
