A copper alloy Roman coin; a radiate of Claudius II (AD 268 - 270) dating from AD 268 - 269 (Reece Period 13). Probably FIDES EXERCI reverse type depicting Fides Militum standing facing holding two standards. Mint of Rome probably. Compare Sear Volume III, number 11334 on page 400. The coin has been double struck and has truned in the ie so some of the obverse design is on the reverse and vice versa. The coin is 22.8mm diameter, 1.7mm thick and 3.2g.
