Copper alloy vessel fragment. Elongated cast vessel leg, of triangular section with two shallow longitudinal grooves on either side of the two outward faces of the leg. The foot is marked by a slight expansion, with three triangular elements; its base is flat and may suggest the leg rose vertically when supporting the vessel. Copper alloy strainer fragment. A segment from a disc of estimated diameter 80mm, with a slight curvature discernible in profile, whether original or as a result of damage remains uncertain. Three closely juxtaposed drilled and countersunk holes and the edges of five more appear. The crisp edges and clean finishing point to a recent date, while the robust construction migfht po0int to this coming from the inlet hose of a water pump rather than from a large watering can.
