An incomplete composite hollow button cast in white metal / high tin content or possibly base silver alloy of later 17th or 18th century date. Only the domed front hemisphere is present - it is circular in plan and D shaped in cross section; the reverse is hollow and concave. The upper surface of the button is decorated with a cast design comprising an circular central boss around which a pair of opposing vegetal like C shaped scroll are cast; separated by wedge shaped projections. Fragment of a 17th or 18th century copper alloy button. It is part of a cast, die stamped, composite biconvex copper alloy and iron button, probably originally with an integral drilled shank. It consists of the convex, hollow top half only. The component is incomplete, missing c60% of its circumference to a distance of up to c4mm from the edge. It is decorated with a central circle and dot and a clock-wise six-bladed impeller, only partally hatched, within a curvilinear border, and with a lateral rim. An incomplete copper alloy Button from a Modern date, AD 1842 - 1922. A staff uniform button of The Great Eastern Railway Company, made with a white metal front, and a copper alloy back. The front has that name around the central design of a Dragons wing, in a circle on a Star. It has a diameter of 16.7mm, is 5.78mm thick, and weighs 1.5g. On its reverse are the manufacturers address details, circled around the stump of a missing loop. These appear as :- Chamberlin. Sons & Co. Clothing Contracts. Smith Harrison.

A Post Medieval lead alloy button dating to the period c.AD 1600-1700. The button is discoidal or slightly hexagonal, with an integrally cast shank projecting from the reverse but now broken c2mm from its base. The front is slightly convex and the back probably originally flat, though the button has been bent at some point such that the back is partially slightly concave.
