A complete but broken post-Medieval copper-alloy dress-hook (c. 1500-c. 1650). Read Class E, Type 7 (heart shaped).
A break has occurred at the junction between the plate and hook.
The object is moulded at the front, flat and plain at the rear. It has a sub-rectangular/trapezoidal attachment loop, 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear. The width of the attachment loop is 11.8mm. The plate/body is heart-shaped and at the front an open heart in low relief has a central trefoil pointing inwards at its top. An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy forked spacer for a composite strap-end (c. 1350-c. 1400).
It has a plain acorn knop terminal with a collar dividing the stylised acorn shaped element from the two prongs. The incomplete prongs are flat and rectangular in cross-section and have a thickness of 1.7mm.
This object is drab green and corroded. The breaks are old.
Height: 19.7mm; width: 17.2mm; thickness at terminal: 4.6mm. Weight: 2.52g.
A very similar spacer has been found in London and dated c.1350-c. 1400 (Egan and Pritchard 1991:144, fig. 94, ref: 680).

An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy single-loop buckle (c. 1200-c. 1400). Meols type 2.
The frame is 'D'-shaped, convex at the front, flat at the rear and bevelled internally and externally at the front. The narrowed off-set bar is sub-square in cross-section with rounded corners.
A similar buckle from London has been published (Egan and Pritchard 1991: 68, fig. 42, ref: 271).
This buckle frame is drab green with traces of a white metal coating.

An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy mount (c. 1600-c. 1700).
The mount is drop-shaped, convex at the front and partially concave at the rear. One end is rounded and the sides taper in to a narrow point and then flare to form an elongated pointed knop. At the rear are two integral tapering spikes, both of which are circular in cross-section. One spike is complete and only the stub of the other survives.
This mount is reddish brown with bright green corrosion products.
