A cast copper alloy bezel which has become detached from a finger ring / signet ring of later medieval or post medieval date (AD 1400 - 1700). The bezel is broadly a circular disc which is abraded around the edges. The upper / front face is decorated with a deeply incised but relatively crudely applied design that would have acted as a matrix for impressing upon waxen seals. An incomplete broken cast copper alloy strap clasp or buckle frame with anthropomorphic decoration, in the form of a King's head of Medieval date (1250-1400). The fragment consists of just the upper part of the clasp frame. This is sub-rectangular in plan and 'U' shaped in cross-section with upturned sides. Descending from the plate are two long edges of the frame, both of which are broken. An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy forked spacer for a composite strap-end (c. 1350-c. 1400).
It has a plain acorn knop terminal with a collar dividing the stylised acorn shaped element from the two prongs. The incomplete prongs are flat and rectangular in cross-section and have a thickness of 1.7mm.
This object is drab green and corroded. The breaks are old.
Height: 19.7mm; width: 17.2mm; thickness at terminal: 4.6mm. Weight: 2.52g.
A very similar spacer has been found in London and dated c.1350-c. 1400 (Egan and Pritchard 1991:144, fig. 94, ref: 680).

An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy single-loop buckle (c. 1200-c. 1400). Meols type 2.
The frame is 'D'-shaped, convex at the front, flat at the rear and bevelled internally and externally at the front. The narrowed off-set bar is sub-square in cross-section with rounded corners.
A similar buckle from London has been published (Egan and Pritchard 1991: 68, fig. 42, ref: 271).
This buckle frame is drab green with traces of a white metal coating.

A fragment from a cast copper alloy single looped buckle of medieval date (1250-1400). The frame of the buckle is incomplete; the fragment comprises just the external edge of the D shaped buckle which is sub-triangular in shape and rectangular in section. The upper surface has the remains of a cast transverse groove which would have acted as a pin rest; radiating from this are incised decorative lines. The reverse of the buckle frame is undecorated. Cast copper alloy heraldic harness pendant of probable 14th-century (c.AD 1250 - c.1450) date. The pendant is incomplete and relatively well preserved - however it has lost much of its inlaid enamel and gilded surfaces. In plan the pendant is a sexfoil star shape although it has lost three of its six arms. An iincomplete cast copper-alloy strap end dating to the Medieval period, c. 1250-1400. It is rectangular in plan and rather elongated, tapering at its base to form a rather devolved cruciform terminal. The upper section of one plate is missing in an old break, but otherwise it is preserved intact, the two plates secured together at both its upper edge and base by means of two circular-sectioned rivets. Preserved in rather poor condition with a coarse greenish patina, it measures 64.71mm in length, 8.47mm wide by 3.28mm thick at its midpoint, and weighs 7.67g.

A fragment of cast gilt copper-alloy harness pendant. dating to the period c.1200-1400.
Description: The fragment is irregularly shaped but was likely originally cruciform in shape with an openwork set of segments extend from the centre into the arms. A thte apex is a round suspension lug with pierced hole palced perpendicular to the pendant. Only the upper arm and part of the centre remain. A small amount of gilding remains on its upper surface but is otherwise mottled red brown and green.
Measurements: 28.26mm long, 19.01mm wide, 5.47mm thick, and 2.18g in weight.
