An incomplete post-medieval copper alloy combination lock, dating to c. 1550-1650 AD. The arched hasp normally associated with this type of lock is missing, broken in antiquity. What remains are seven discs combined to form a cylindrical shape,the outer two bearing the broken stub of the hasp,and its receiver arm respectively. The seven discs each have five or six numbers, letters, and a symbol punched or engraved into their circumference. An incomplete fragment of a copper alloy purse frame of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval date (c. AD 1450 - AD 1550). The fragment consists of an irregular curved length of cast copper alloy with a C shaped cross section. This section is part of the external frame or hoop of the purse and would have originally have fitted to a pierced pendant bar. A fragment of cast copper alloy socketed axe, dating to the Late Bronze Age c. 1000 - 800 BC. Description: The fragment represents part of the socketed end of the axe and is unevenly shaped. Part of the rimmed collar for the socket remains. Just after the rim there is a side loop to help secure the axe to its handle, which remains roughly to 50% to its original length. Cast copper alloy heraldic harness pendant and associated suspension mount / stud of probable 14th-century (c.AD 1250 - c.1450) date. The pendant is complete and well preserved - however it has lost much of its inlaid enamel and gilded surface. In plan the pendant is sub-triangular (shield shaped) and the edges of the front face are faceted but distorted. In cross section the pendant is sub-rectangular. A fragment of slightly worn/abraded flat lead non-heraldic personal seal matrix of Medieval date c.AD 1200-1350. Description: The fragment is roughly triangular and represents less than a sixth of the total size of the matrix. The reverse is undecorated, and the front shows a wide curved inner line dividing legend and device. The device is uncertain but looks to be more complicated than a simple star or fleur.
