A cast lead-alloy object, probably part of a spoon handle dating to the Post-Medieval period (c. AD 1600-1700). The surviving part of the object is sub-trapezoidal in shape and oval in cross-section, being broken at either end. The slightly bowed and bevelled outer edges are intact but have laminated in places. The upper surface is decorated in a low-relief moulded design consisting of an arrangement of vertical, horizontal and diagonal ribs surmounted by a short series of dots, but the composition is generally obscured by its worn condition. A complete lead alloy unifaced token of later medieval or post medieval date (1200-1800). The token is circular in plan . The upper face has a raised central boss like pellet which is enclosed by six lentoid shaped hoops arranged in a symmetrical pattern forming a flower or diasy wheel. The reverse is plain and undecorated. The token has a grey coloured surface patina. Diameter: 20.6mm, thickness: 2.4mm, weight: 4.91 grams
