Incomplete medieval copper alloy buckle with an integral plate. Only short parts of the trapezoidal frame's sides are extant. The inside edge of the plate comprises a large flat fleur-de-lis knop which is pierced by the sole rivet. The loop of the copper alloy pin remains in its hole. Engraved decoration consists of curving and straight lines on the knop, and on the plate of a double line saltire with a dash in each angle, all within a frame. Part of a probably medieval copper alloy flat mount, broken at one end and bent backwards at the other. One edge is straight and lies close to four attachment holes, one truncated by the break and another near the narrow intact end. The other edge is toothed, with three extant triangular projections, each pierced near its apex by a decorative and convex headed rivet. Hammers marks are visible on the reverse. No parallel noted. Extant length c.53mm. Width 12.8mm. Thickness 1.5mm. 13th - 15th century.

An animal head in relief with large ears and a trapezoidal snout lies above a pair of round holes beneath which a break truncates a centrally placed aperture. Lower part of a Late Saxon copper alloy tongue-shaped openwork strap end with a small knop at the lower end, a flat reverse, faint indications of transverse grooves along the sides, eleven asymmetrically arranged round apertures and three others truncated by the old break. The sinuous gap between the apertures, probably forming part of an animal motif, is flanked by two short and broad moulded grooves and is emphasised by punched annulets, a few of which occur elsewhere. Thomas 2004, Class E, Type uncertain. Extant length 37mm. Width 23.8mm. Thickness 2.5mm. 10th - 11th century.

Both arms are decorated with seven punched ring-and-dots (one, one, two and, above the blade, three), and both splay more markedly in their lower part. Cf. One lateral foil remains almost intact, its edge being followed by a row of part-annular stamped impressions. The same impressions can be made out on the central foil. There is an incomplete single pin lug on the reverse. All breaks appear ancient. Weight 5.85g. Extant length 26mm. Estimated width c.44mm. c.475 - c.525.

The front is decorated with eighteen moulded pellets (one other is missing). A speck of white-metal coating survives on the front face. Very close to Read 2016, no. 253. Estimated length 24.5mm. Probably Leeds 1945 Trefoil-headed, although only one foil is extant. The gently hollow-backed bow begins with a curving transverse rib rather than a rectangular panel. The stumps of a double pin lug and traces of an iron pin mechanism remain on the reverse. Weight 5.00g. Extant length 30.7mm. c.475 - c.525.
