Cast copper alloy fitting, hollow, D sectioned with a 2.0mm wide x 0.9mm deep, square sectioned, transverse rib around its wider end. Both ends are now open but the opening on the flatter end may be a result of damage. The date and function of this object are unknown. It section, at 2.1mm at the open end and 1,0mm at the open end is too thin for it to be a Bronze Age gouge and a later date seems likely. Length 46.5mm, Width 27.6mm, Thickness 14.5mm, Mass 35.86g (including earth fill).
