Cast copper alloy Roman brooch of 'Trumpet' type, 1st - 2nd century date, poor condition, the foot is missing and there is much loss of its original surface, the scrolled moulding on the upper part of the bow being almost lost. The bow is decorated with a central, transverse moulding flanked by two deep grooves and two smaller mouldings. The decorative details of the lower foot are lost. incomplete Roman copper alloy developed crossbow brooch of Mackreth's (2011) Type CR 3 dating to the period c. AD 320 - 400. A large onion-shaped collared knob sits at the centre of the head, just above the central pin slot. One wing is missing. The remaining wing is cylindrical with a moulded flange projecting from the front edge and terminates in a collared onion-shaped knop. A fragment of a Roman copper alloy colchester derivative brooch, probably dating to c. AD 50-150. The surviving fragment comprises of the lower bow only. The foot of the brooch was originally surmounted by an elaborated moulding at the midpoint of the bow; this sits atop a double stranded collar and is bulbous, with a concave reverse, but is truncated by an old break. The foot terminates in a sub-rectangular foot knop, flanked by transverse collars. A medieval copper-alloy annular brooch, dating to c.AD 1200 - 1400. The brooch is circular in form and rectangular in cross section. It has a narrow rectangular recess with a small pin bar sraddling the void. One face appears plain with the exception of possible ridges? running its circumference. The other side is worn but appears to be inscribed with several words.  Diameter: 36 mm Width: 8 mm Thickness: 2 mm Weight: 8.65 g Malcolm Jones comments that the remaining visible letters 'renus' are from a longer inscription of "i(h)esus nazarenus"

An incomplete cast copper alloy La Tene I brooch dating to c. 400-200 BC. The bow and foot survive intact, with the coil and pin lost to an old break. The bow of the brooch is highly arched, sub-oval in cross section and tapering into the foot and coil. The bow was decorated with a series of incised transverse lines, the foot curves back upwards, terminating in an enemal inlaid roundel, with traces of three red pellets arranged equidistantly and a central reserved annulet. An incomplete cast copper alloy hinged two-piece Colchester brooch of very late Iron Age to Early Roman date (25-60 AD). The head of the brooch is relatively small and two small broken stumpy wings extend from either edge. The wings are short tapering and solid with a rectangular cross section. The spring and pin are lost. The spring case is formed from a rectangular tab which extends from the lower edge of the head and which would have rolled over the spring.
