A cast lead alloy bi-convex cast button of probable post medieval date (AD 1550 - 1700). The button is oval in shape and cross section. The upper surface is decorated with a series of cast raised bosses encircled by annulet raised rings. These are arranged in a decorative pattern consisting of a central boss which is encircled by a series of six evenly spaced bosses. A very small fragment of cast lead alloy, most probably from the base of a pilgrims ampulla of medieval date (AD 1200-1450). The fragment is irregular in plan and profile. It comprises a small section of the upper face and lower curved edge of the artefact. The face is decorated with curvilinear ribs whose design extends onto the external edge and represents the shell of St James patron saint of pilgrims. The opposite face is lost. A cast lead alloy representation of a human index finger of uncertain date. The artefact is realised in three dimensions and is broadly conical (D shaped) in plan and oval in cross section. It represents the tip of the index finger being cut off above the first knuckle. It is formed in three dimensions with a clearly delineated nail, cuticle and finger. An incomplete cast copper artefact of unknown function most probably of post medieval date (AD 1600-1800). The artefact is handmade being broadly rectangular in plan with four uneven sides and a square shaped hole through the centre (13.7mm x 14.5mm). It is undecorated although the upper and lower (top and bottom) faces differ both having slight or chamfered sides. It is possible that the central hole was formed by drilling the corners and using a file to shape. An incomplete cast copper alloy strap fitting of later or post medieval date (AD 1400 - 1600). The fitting is irregular in plan, broadly rectangular with scalloped edges and tapering terminals. One terminal is broken away and the edge is patinated and eroded. The strap fitting is decorated by a series of transverse raised ridges dividing the plate into three parts. The central zone has the remains of an inscribed devise whose details are lost. An incomplete cast copper alloy hinged two-piece Colchester brooch of very late Iron Age to Early Roman date (25-60 AD). The head of the brooch is relatively small and two small broken stumpy wings extend from either edge. The wings are short tapering and solid with a rectangular cross section. The spring and pin are lost. The spring case is formed from a rectangular tab which extends from the lower edge of the head and which would have rolled over the spring.
