A clipped cut quarter of a Henry III (AD1216-1272) silver voided long-cross penny. Obverse shows a crown with a pellet end and a central element of three pellets. Obverse reads [HENRICVSREX]III'*. There is a star-and-crescent initial mark at 12 o'clock. Reverse shows three pellets in the quarter. Reverse reads [NIC]/OLE/[ON./...].
Die axis 12 o'clock, weight 0.32g, thickness 1.0mm. The straight lines of the quarter measure 8.2mm and 8.7mm.
