A medieval cast lead alloy pointed oval (vesica shaped) seal matrix c.1200-1350. Flat and pointed oval in plan with the remains of a suspension loop on the top that is now mostly missing. The face has a fleur-de-lis in the centre within a single oval line. The inscription around it apears to read "S ' ALICE FIL' DAMONI'S", This translates as Seal of Alice daughter of Dammond. The inscription is notable for having no initial mark.. The top is decorated with a floral spray. Length 28.0 mm, width 21.7 mm, thickness 3.8 mm and weight 11.7 grams.

Description: Obverse: Date '1667' between two trefoils of three pellets flanking six petalled flower above and below, Legend: '+MARGERY.FVRZER:', initial mark of six petalled flower. Reverse: 'HIR HALF PENNY' in three lines, flower below. Legend: '+IN.D[EDFO]RD.+.'. Initial marks six petalled flower, legend followed by four petal aligned in cross.

An incomplete cast and engraved copper-alloy ecclesiastical pedestal seal matrix of 14th century date, possibly from the office of the Bishops of Lincoln.
Description: The matrix is of exaggerated pedestal form with a standard small, trilobate collared handle and over large pointed oval die face slightly conical on its rear. Each point of the pointed oval die face is missing. The die face is engraved with a decorative motif of the Virgin with the child Christ on right knee sprig in left hand and seated in a carved gothic shrine with canopy and tabernacle work at the sides.
